"Being a minister and teacher is a gift that allows me to bear witness to the
awakening of Truth in others and to constantly be transformed alongside them."
Rev. Glenda P. Walden was first introduced to Unity through the Daily Word that her grandmother always subscribed to. As she ventured off to college, an anonymous donor made sure the Daily Word was delivered to her dorm. It wasn't until many years later, when a move to Missouri uprooted her from her spiritual family, that she attended a service at Unity of Columbia. It was there, on the first Sunday. that she recieived the call to ministry during meditation. As a member of the congregation, she served as a prayer chaplain, Sunday School te,cher, and choir participant, while preparing for admission into the ministry path.
Rev. Glenda is a 2015 graduate of the Unity Urban Ministerial School, becoming an ordained Unity Minister on May 6, 2016.
Prior to her current ministry here at Unity of Fort Wayne Spiritual Center, Rev. Glenda served as part-time minister at Unity of Evansville for almost 4 years. She supported the spiritual growth of this congregation by delivering the Sunday lesson, leading Healing Meditation Services, and offering Spiritual Counseling.
After her ordination in 2016, Rev. Glenda accepted the position of part-time minister here at Unity of Fort Wayne Spiritual Center, becoming full-time in 2018. She was excited to begin a new chapter in her ministry with her Fort Wayne "Vibe Tribe".
Rev. Glenda currently serves on the Great Lakes Regional Unity Board as Vice President and UWM ministry team for the Regional Advisory Counsel. In addition, she routinely teaches Spiritual Education and Enrichment (SEE) classes at Unity on the Space Coast during their SEE intensive weeks.
